\"GS1 Latvija\" is Latvian national automatic identification organization - the only official representative of international organization \"GS1\" in Latvia, one of 114 worlds` national organizations.
Main task - to ensure in Latvia correct and unambiguous application of international GS1 standards, as well as provides a possibility to identify products, seats and services according to GS1 standards, ensuring companies with unique identification numbers, which are reflected in the form of barcodes - EAN-13, EAN-8, ITF-14, GS1-128 etc.
We maintain Electronic Product catalogue or list of goods marked with barcodes in Latvia, as well as global GS1 member organization contact information and product register GEPIR, where it is possible to verify GS1 barcode usage legality.
We perform barcode symbol printing quality verification, as well as provide consultations and offer training on GS1 system standards and application - barcodes, electronic data exchange.
